AITA: 'I walked out, leaving her with a $600 bill' : Man leaves broke girlfriend stranded at high end restaurant on her birthday after finding out she has a kid
When is it appropriate to tell someone you're dating that you have a child? Perhaps it's best before you hit the 4-5 month mark, but this woman obviously disagrees. A man took to the r/AITA subreddit to ask Redditors their opinion on him walking out of a restaurant on his girlfriend's birthday, after learning via a random friend that stopped to say hi, that she had a kid.
When he confronted her, she told him in other words, that it was none of his business. Things got awkward fast, and she excused herself to the restroom, and left him at their table fuming. On impulse, he got up and bolted from the restaurant, leaving her with a $600 bill she could not afford. Feeling guilty, he asked the internet what their thoughts were on the bizarre situation, and boy did they have a lot to say.
